I’m writing these things based on my personal experience so please take them “as is”. Also, this post doesn’t adress a specific client but is rather a sort of wish-list, something I’d love to see in each and every client that I’ve worked or will work with. So here it goes: Read the rest of this entry »

I think everyone that works in an ad agency, regardless of country, can relate with this. Great art-direction. The idea isn’t really new, but then again, this happened the moment the first ad agency in the world spoke with the first client in the world :). via
So it seems that people are starting to fight back against intrusive, non-relevant and/or plain old stupid ambient marketing pieces. But are they really like that? Read the rest of this entry »
The first full-featured animation from Sylvain Chomet, showcased at the 2003 Cannes Festival. I would describe it as a non-pretentious surrealist cartoon epic. Only it’s not so much epic as it is lyrical. A very touching story, absolutely superb drawing technique and characters that will get into your heart. I disagree with the other reviewers of the film, the story does in fact matter very much. It supports the characters, it charges the movie with so much tension you could actually see it sparkling and, overall, it has a major role in instituting the surrealist atmosphere mentioned before. A good choice for spending a Sunday afternoon. Here’s the IMDB link to the film.

Written and directed by Lukas Moodysson, a swedish director. The film is in russian and partially swedish. It’s a glimpse into the post-2k russian life, the temptation of the Occident and how easy can life get really messed-up. It’s a must see.
Last night I was at work (not all night, mind you) but these guys seem to have gotten some other deal. I don’t feel like writing anything today so here’s this song. Yes, I know it’s old news. Yes, I know they were supposed to be the “saviours of rock and roll” and they failed miserably (mostly because the concept of a “rock and roll saviour” is pure crap). Look, why don’t you just enjoy the damn song and do some thinking some other time.
