I’ve been to this concert yesterday. Electro and noise. The bands were: Disfunktional, Minus & VJ Vali Chincisan, Dyslex, Tanz Ohne Musik, Brazda lui Novac and Artanu. For all you English speaking people, these bands mean nothing. By the style I wrote this so far, you probably think it shouldn’t either. Well, you’re right. Besides Minus and Brazda feat Artanu, these bands mean nothing. I’ll get to that later. First of all I’m going to bitch about the planning of the event. Typical for Romania, the planning was awful. A shoe made entirely of small pictures updated in real-time. The pictures are links to japanese sites, hence the punch line: “Made of Japan”. As the pictures change, the color scheme of the shoe changes. Great idea, relevant to the brand, relevant to the target. Concept by StrawberryFrog, developed by the Dutch agency Woodend. Via

Gotta love the illustrations. Beavis&Butt-head, anyone? I always liked the literal translation from words to images, and these in-house ads give just that. I don’t know about the logo, but meh. Read more to see the other two. Read the rest of this entry »
