It looks like all these possible cybernetic updates to the human soul, brain and body are the stuff science fiction is made of. Still, they’re actually very possible, and within our reach (if we live long enough, that is). Excerpts from the article:
“#10. Disease immunity.
Between 20 and 40 years into the future, we will become capable of building artificial antibodies that outperform their natural equivalents. Instead of using chemical signaling that relies on diffusion to reach its target, these antibodies will communicate with rapid acoustic pulses. Instead of proteins, they will be made using much more durable polymers or even diamond. These antibodies will move through the bloodstream more quickly than other cells in the bodies, and will take up less space and resources, meaning that there will be room for many more. \…./”
I was very impressed by this guerilla stunt. It just goes to show, once again, that interactivity produces the most compelling and emotionally charged brand experience that anyone could have.
This is one of the most beautiful TVC’s I’ve ever had the pleasure to view in my entire life. Beautiful image, top-of-the-art copy (he he he, you should think…), excellent music. via
The first after the 1989 revolution, that is. Cristian Mungiu and his 4 months, 3 weeks & 2 days, won the Palme D’or Award at the Cannes Film Festival. It’s so much valuable as the film industry in Romania is very, very weak and funds for films are hard to come by. I thought the first big Cannes will be won by the advertising industry, seeing that it could have been easier for them (via funds and whatnot) but I guess this just goes to prove something. I don’t know what (or rather I know, but I don’t want to be the one to say it). Click on the picture for the film blog.
Every year, since 1976, on the 17th of June, this family took a picture of each member until today. The result is a beautiful portrait of a human family floating on the waves of time. The link is definitely worth a click.
And here’s a romanian version of the idea by Mihai Stanescu (click to enlarge):
This time is Toyota. I guess SUV owners are assholes, otherwise I can’t find one decent explanation for the strategy behind this campaign. via. More after the jump Read the rest of this entry »
OCS is a nice alternative band from Romania. This is their newest video. This song might not be their best, but it’s definitely worth listening. Check out their site, here.
Nice artsy campaign for getloaded.ro, powered by ClickNET, an ISP from Romania. I saw that mouth in different places, without it being branded, and I thought it was an expression of urban art. Then I see it here, as part of a bigger campaign. I like it. I don’t know the agency, so if anyone knows, speak up. Thanks.
