Ladytron - seventeen

Ladytron awes.

kewpie tarako - pasta sauce

June 20, 2007

It’s from Japan, the dream-world of emo/authistic kids. That little girl looks like something’s wrong. But she’s probably figuring out ways to be cool and popular rather than paying attention to THE PASTA SAUCE!

Please compare the Ikea logo with the Burger one. I wonder how that meeting went. So people still do this, even today. Say, Bill, will that ever go away?

Big announcement

June 18, 2007

31_pics_384173.jpg

At repede.wordpress.com you’ll find my new blog. My literature will be there (only in Romanian). The novelty is that the readers control it. I will publish one text per day with the condition that the last text gets at least a comment. If there are no comments the blog stops until the readers want more. It’s something I think will work. So if you speak Romanian, check it out.

(sorry dudes that don’t, you’ll get a second chance when my book will be published in English)

IAMX - missile

Andreea says I’m acting like a chick. I tend to agree ;) Nevertheless, this is one song you should enjoy (plus it’s one of the forbidden bands)

Seaside story

June 18, 2007

She went to the seaside

and took out her beating heart

to clean the filth”

Poetry aside, I actually was at the seaside. In the last 5 years I haven’t swam at all, not even once. And since I’m pretty fucked up right now, I thought swimming would make me anew (in case you haven’t noticed, I love to swim). So did I gain inner equilibrium again? In short: no. But I did gain some things:

First of all, I got a beautiful tan. I didn’t listen to luciat, so my skin feels painful, but it was worth it in the end.

Secondly, when I did swim I didn’t think of anything. It was all quiet&gorgeous. I felt like a young animal, very sleek, and I let myself enjoy the feeling while it lasted.

I also got back my vision. When you are wholly dedicated to something other than yourself, you gain some, you lose some. One of the things I had lost in the last 2 years was what I call my vision. It’s a nice little trick my brain plays on me and it works like this: I see something, the brain sees it and decides to augment it. It makes it beautiful, it makes it pure. I feed from that, I write about it, I make literature on behalf of my brain. I use my brain, and my brain uses me. When I saw the Allied planes bombing Bucharest I wrote about it, even if it was all just sunset shadows and lights reflected upon the block of flats across my street. Today I saw a giant rabbit in the distance, twitching, trembling, having a purpose even if it was a tree. Today I saw a beautiful woman coming out of a beautiful Audi A8 and vomiting forever, a stream of vomit that could drown the earth, even if she did stop after all and she wasn’t even that beautiful in the first place. Today I saw a dog made entirely out of light running on the highway, being missed by inches by cars. He survived, even if he was just reflection of headlights of cars coming from the opposed direction. Getting back this means that I will be able to finish my second book and make it worth-wile for the reader. I’m glad&grateful for that.

So it was all worth it in the end. Even if my troubles have just begun, at least I still have something to keep me going.

There are certain persons who, upon reading this, will feel contempt towards me and will get their noses high up in the air. Firstly I would like to wish them a very merry “fuck you” and then I would like to assure them that I know all they have to say about this post. And I don’t care (plus snobs are shit).

Boring photos + an important announcement after the jump
